Quebec Skilled Worker
Skilled Workers who would like to gain Permanent Residency in the province of Quebec are required to go through the Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) Program.
The QSW Program is a point-based system where applicants need to score enough points under the Quebec selection system to be able to submit an expression of interest. Some of the factors that points are based on include age, education, work experience and language proficiency. There is also a separate score that single applicants and married applicants need to meet. Single applicants must score at least 49 points while married applicants, or those in common-law partnerships, must score at least 57 points.
If you meet the points requirement, you can now start your application through the QSW Program.
Starting in January 2016, the Quebec government announced that all QSW Program Applications need to be filed online through Mon Projet Quebec.
It was also announced that the 10,000 cap of applications for April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 has already been met.
The next draw of applications is expected somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd quarter of 2017.
